CPS Meeting 2019

The 8thChemical Protein Synthesis (CPS) Meeting 2019 continued the successful biannual international symposium series devoted to protein chemistry following previous meetings in Haifa, Israel (2017), St. Augustine, USA (2015) and Vienna, Austria (2013).
This symposium covered topics from protein chemistry broadly defined, ranging from synthetic methodology to applications in medicine and biomaterials. We were delighted to host over 50 presentations from the leading scientists in this vibrant area of life sciences.
The CPS meeting 2019 was also the final scientific symposium of the priority programme SPP1623 (www.spp1623.de), which was funded by the German Research Foundation.

4th SPP Joint-meeting and 6th Phd-workshop 2018
June 19 - 22, 2018 | Darmstadt, Germany
In 2018, the meeting of all project leaders and the meeting of all doctoral students were held in a combined event.
The doctoral student meeting took place in Darmstadt at the "Köhlersaal" of the Technische Universität from June 19 - 21, 2018 and included
- Short oral and poster presentations of all coworkers in the SPP projects
- Method lectures by
Prof. Edward Lemke, EMBL Heidelberg and Universität Mainz
Prof. Ron Raines, MIT
Prof. Abhishek Chatterjee, Boston College
From June 21 - 22, 2018 the yearly meeting of all group leaders and employees of SPP 1623 took place in Darmstadt:
- Short presentations from all funded SPP projects
- Keynote lectures by
Prof. Kai Johnsson, Max Plank Institute for Medical Research
Prof. Ron Raines, MIT
Prof. Abhishek Chatterjee, Boston College
We were also pleased that the band "BiophoniX" played after the evening lecture.
